WalkingPad is known for its lineup of relatively small, slim, and affordable treadmills that are ideal for people who want to walk or jog at moderate paces.
On that note, today we are here to review the WalkingPad X25, which happens to be both the largest and most expensive model in the lineup at this time.
With that being said, its high price tag and larger size, compared to the other units in the lineup, also mean that this is one of the few treadmills from this brand name that you can actually run on comfortably, even as a larger person.
WalkingPad X25 Overview
Here is a quick breakdown of the X25s specifications:
- 1.5HP Brushless Motor
- Top Speed: 10MPH/ 16kph
- OLED screen
- Running Area: 51.9" x 19.6" (131.8cm x 49.8cm)
- Unfolded Dimensions: 60.8" (L) x 30.4"(W) x 40.3" (H)
- Folded Dimensions: 10.1" (L) x 30.4"(W) x 40.3" (H)
- Maximum User Capacity: 300lbs (136kg)
- Product Weight: 104lbs/ 47kg
Right off the bat, what you might notice is that this model is more expensive than the others from this brand name, at this time coming in at $1399.
That said, this is one of the few treadmills that can both fold in half for easy storage and portability while also being strong enough to handle the impact of the fairly heavy person running on it.
In fact, it actually folds twice, ending up being just 10” long, making it one of the most compact units on the market at this time.
It has a lot of nifty features that make it stand out from the pack, including a smooth running deck, a quick adjustment speed dial, and a deck long enough to run on at full speed.

Now that we've covered the basics, we want to take a closer look at the various features and factors that make the WalkingPad X25 Treadmill an attractive option to consider.
Size and Storability
One thing that stands out about this treadmill is its size: 60.8” L x 30.4” W x 40.3” H, which already makes it extremely compact and ideal for smaller spaces.
However, the deck can fold in half twice, ending up just 10.1” in length.
It even has a front handle which can be used to carry it around. We like how it takes up so little space that you can put it virtually anywhere, whether flat under a bed or up against a wall.
Folding it is a breeze because you just have to fold the deck back and pull the handle under it.
Furthermore, unfolding it is also very easy, because you literally just have to pull it apart.
The only slight unavoidable downside with a folding design like this is that you can feel the joint in the deck if you are wearing thin-soled shoes. But with proper running shoes, you won't feel it.
It comes with two small transport wheels, so moving it around is about as easy as it gets. They're not the best wheels for moving on carpet, but it's a small downside, everything considered.
Keep in mind that the treadmill as a whole weighs 104 lbs (47kg), so considering that it also has wheels, you should be able to move it easily enough but lifting it would be tough.
Durability and Build Quality
One of the most important things that we always examine when looking at a unit such as the WalkingPad X25 Treadmill is how durable it is.
First of all, it's made out of good quality materials, such as aluminium alloy which helps to keep it as light as possible but also strong.
It's more than durable enough to handle a good deal of impact, yet also light enough to allow this treadmill to remain lightweight and portable.
Thanks to the 300lbs weight limit, most people should be able to use it with ease, as is true for those with longer strides.
What many may appreciate is that the deck sits right on the floor, making it very stable, even when you're running quickly.
You might also appreciate how the deck features 8 different adjustable feet, so uneven ground shouldn't be a problem.
The Deck
Another important component of any treadmill is the deck, particularly because the size of it determines how large a person can run on it.
The deck here is 19.5” x 52” (131.8cm x 49.8cm), which is fairly spacious considering that this is a compact folding treadmill.
No, it's not the longest treadmill in the world and it's not ideal for extremely tall people with very long strides.
That said, anybody up to about 6'2" tall should easily be able to run at up to 10 mph at full stride without issue.
What also needs to be mentioned is that the deck is quite firm. Remember that it sits directly on the floor, so there isn't much give to it.
It's ideal for people who like a firm running surface, and it also doesn't make a lot of noise, yet another bonus.
The Motor
The WalkingPad X25 Treadmill How's a fairly powerful 1.5 horsepower brushless motor.
When running at top speed it feels consistent and smooth, although the speed doesn't adjust as quickly as with other treadmills.
It's able to go up to 10 mph, which is substantial considering its relatively small size, although it doesn't incline or decline. Plus, it remains relatively quiet. The loudest noise will likely be your feet connecting with the deck as you run.

Console, Display, and Apps
The other thing that we want to take a look at with the WalkingPad X25 Treadmill is what the console and display are like.
The console is built directly into the handle, and it features a small simple OLED screen that is fixed to the handle.
It displays your speed, time, calories, and distance, although the handle itself, as well as the attached display, can't be adjusted up or down, which may be a problem for slightly taller people.
It features a simple dial for speed adjustment, and all you have to do is press the button for it to start and stop.
Now, something that does need to be mentioned is that this unit does not feature any on-board workout whatsoever. All you do is get on it, adjust the dial, and walk or run as fast as you see fit.
But you can connect to the KS Fit App through a smart device. This allows you to control the X25 through your device but also gives you access to other features.
Final Thoughts
When all is said and done, the WalkingPad X25 Treadmill is an excellent choice to consider as far as compact treadmills are concerned.
Realistically, it's one of the largest and most expensive compact treadmills out there, although still smaller than almost all other traditional treadmills.
It's ideal for everything from walking to relatively fast running, and it can handle some fairly heavy people as well.
Overall, if you want a very compact machine that can still deliver a good workout then the X25 is a good choice.
