WalkingPad C2 Review

When we review a product, we like to look at a range of factors such as the build quality, functionality, comfort, portability and more. But let's start off with getting the machine set up.

Assembly and Convenience

First things first, when reviewing any equipment, the assembly process is always a good starting point.

However, the WalkingPad C2 arrives fully assembled in its folded position. You simply slide it out of the box, unfold it, plug it in, and you're ready to begin your workout.

So you won’t have to worry about finding your toolbox and following instructions to put it together.

The foldability of this machine is one reason walking pads have become so popular.

When it's in the folded position it is just 13.6cm (5.35”) high and 82.5cm (32.48”) long. When combined with the transport wheels, it is easy to move and tuck away under a sofa, bed or any other small space you have available.

Display and Controls

Next up we looked at the usability of the C2 through its controls and display. The WalkingPad C2 offers three different ways to control the speed.

Firstly, you can use a straightforward Bluetooth remote control to increase or decrease the speed.

The remote also comes with a lanyard attached so you can hang it from your wrist just in case you don’t have to hold it the entire time you are exercising.

If you don’t want to use the remote, you can also connect a smart device such as your phone to the C2 through the KS Fit app.

The app also shows your workout information while also allowing you to change and adjust the speed.

We did have a couple of issues while trying to connect to the app, but this could have been partly because I needed to upgrade my phone soon.

Nonetheless, once it connected correctly, the app worked as intended and might be the preferred method for some users.

The third and final option is the smart foot-sensing control. This feature adjusts the belt speed based on your position on the deck: moving towards the front increases the speed to match a quicker pace while moving back slows it down.

We saw a few other reviews where the users had trouble getting the smart foot-sensing control to work, but this issue tends to occur when it is used on a carpeted floor.

So we recommend that you have it on a hard surface or have a thick equipment mat underneath to prevent this from happening.

WalkingPad C2 Display

In terms of display, The WalkingPad C2 has an LED display that shows your basic workout information such as Time, Speed, Distance, Calories and Steps. You can cycle through what information is displayed and it is easy to see.

Although it would have been nice if the screen was slightly larger and could show more information at once. But you can always use the KS Fit app if you want to closely monitor your workout data.

Motor

When evaluating walking pads, or treadmills in general, the motor's size is a crucial factor, as larger motors generally offer a more reliable workout experience and superior performance.

A bigger motor not only makes the walking experience smoother but can help to keep the operating noise to a minimum as it isn’t working as hard.

Whereas, if you have a small motor that is being pushed to its limits, it will generally make more noise but also risks burning out faster.

But the WalkingPad C2 has no such problems in this area with its 1HP brushless motor.

The brushless design not only enhances the walking smoothness but also keeps operational noise low and produces under 40 dB. This is about the same amount of noise you would expect in a quiet library or light rain shower.

So if you are hoping to multitask while exercising, you can comfortably make calls while still getting your steps in.

Furthermore, the C2 offers a top speed of 6kph, which is a brisk walking pace and will have your heart pumping in no time.

If you want a machine that can go a little faster then you might want to see our WalkingPad X21 review.

Comfort

When it comes to being comfortable while walking, one of the main factors is the deck area. But this is no concern on the C2 with a walking area of 120cm x 40 (47.24” x 15.75”). This gives you plenty of room to stretch your legs and walk a natural stride even if you are quite tall.

If you compare the C2 to cheaper models on the market, this is where some users will get caught out and later realise the walking area is less than 100cm long and almost falls off the back with each step.

On top of a good stride length, WalkingPad has used an EVA shocking cushioning layer to make the walking experience as comfortable as possible.

The maximum user weight for the C2 is 100kg but if you are concerned this won't be enough, see our review of the WalkingPad A1 Pro which has a higher capacity.

Even when walking at top speed, the C2 is comfortable to use, even on long walking sessions.

Rounding Up

In conclusion, the WalkingPad C2 is a great choice for anyone seeking a compact, efficient way to stay active at home.

Its smooth and quiet motor makes it perfect for multitasking, whether you're working or relaxing.

The simplicity of setup and storage makes it especially appealing to anyone that is short on space.
