The JLL IC400 Pro Indoor Cycling Bike is a great choice for anyone looking for an affordable, reliable indoor cycle.

Built around a solid 22kg flywheel and a magnetic resistance system, this bike delivers a smooth, quiet and consistent ride for a range of fitness levels, whether beginner or pro.

While it might not have the automatic resistance found on more expensive models, it offers a quiet and low-maintenance workout, mainly thanks to its direct belt drive system.

Adjustable handlebars and seat positions make the IC400 Pro great for users of all heights and comfort preferences.

It’s also Bluetooth-compatible with fitness apps like iConsole, Zwift, and Peloton (with a bit of configuration) to simulate a more in-depth cycling experience.

Although the console's basic 10x20 cm display doesn’t have a backlight or advanced metrics, it displays essential workout data, such as speed, distance, and calories.

Assembly is relatively straightforward, though the bike’s heavy weight makes it a good idea to set it up in its final resting spot.

With an adjustable seat, emergency brake, transport wheels, and solid build, this bike, although it may not be expensive, should last for many years to come.

Ultimately, the JLL IC400 Pro is a well-rounded indoor cycling bike that despite a few limitations provides an excellent workout at an affordable price point, making it ideal for home fitness enthusiasts looking to up their cardio game without overspending and breaking the bank.

JLL IC400 Pro Indoor Cycling Bike: Review

Now, we want to take a much closer look at all of the main features and benefits that the JLL IC400 Pro Indoor Cycling Bike brings to the table, along with some of the less enjoyable aspects.

Here’s what we think of the JLL IC400 Pro Indoor Cycling Bike.

Unboxing and Assembly

First of all, the bike arrived securely packed, with every part neatly wrapped. Although, it is quite heavy at 53kg so an extra pair of hands can make a big difference.

All the tools required to complete the assembly are supplied which makes assembly straightforward, and in about 30 minutes, we had everything assembled and tightened up.

Once the final bolts were in, the bike felt solid and ready to handle some intense rides.

Overall, the assembly process wasn’t too bad at all, although having a second person on hand definitely helps.

Design and Build Quality

Design and Build Quality

The IC400 Pro comes with a high-gauge steel frame that can support, which should be more than enough for most users, no matter the size or intensity of the workout.

This solid build combined with its sleek design gives the bike a stable and reliable feeling during high-intensity rides.

Coming in at 130 x 54 x 141.5 cm, the bike has a compact footprint, making it surprisingly space-efficient for a heavy-duty model.

Despite its weight of about 53 kg, the bike comes with two transport wheels on the base that make moving it around fairly easy.

Still, with its size and weight, it’s not a bike you’ll want to move very often. The overall design is both durable and practical, making it a great option for most home gym spaces.

Flywheel and Resistance Mechanism

One of the best features is the 22 kg flywheel that this bike comes with, which allows for really smooth and consistent momentum.

We tested it across all of its resistance levels, and the ride felt quite stable even at maximum intensity.

Overall, the 22kg flywheel is more than enough to provide most people with the resistance required for a solid workout.

Magnetic Resistance System

The IC400 Pro features manual magnetic resistance, which we found very easy to adjust using the simple adjustment knob.

Unlike models with digital resistance readouts, there’s no specific display for resistance levels, so we always have to estimate the adjustment level.

The resistance knob also doubles as an emergency brake, which comes in handy for quickly stopping the flywheel in its tracks.

This manual setup added an old-school cycling vibe because it focuses purely on the cycling experience without flashy tech features.

Though it lacks the automatic adjustments some pricier bikes have, we appreciate the overall control and simplicity.

Transmission System: Quiet and Efficient

What really stands out here is the poly V belt transmission because it keeps noise levels as low as possible, making it ideal for home use, even if people are sleeping in the next room.

The rubber belt is also low-maintenance compared to traditional chain drives, which means that you’ll spend less time maintaining and fixing the bike.

Pedals, Cranks, and the Importance of Q-Factor

Pedals, Cranks, and the Importance of Q-Factor

The pedals on the JLL IC400 Pro Indoor Cycling Bike are SPD compatible, with a 2-bolt design for cycling shoes.

They can also accommodate toe cages for those who like biking in regular shoes. What’s also handy is that if you ever need to replace the pedals, the standard 9/16” threading makes finding replacements simple.

200mm Q-Factor

With a Q-factor of 200mm, the IC400 Pro is comfortable in terms of having a natural pedalling position.

Narrower Q-factors promote alignment, reducing strain on the hips and knees, which is essential for longer rides.

We found the 200mm measurement ideal for maintaining comfort throughout cycling sessions, though users new to spin bikes may take a bit to adjust due to the narrowness.

Display Console and Monitor Features

Even though the JLL IC400 Pro doesn’t have a flashy, high-tech monitor, it tells you essential metrics like time, speed, distance, RPM, calories, and heart rate.

With a 10x20 cm display, it’s readable enough, but the lack of backlighting can make it hard to see in certain light conditions.

The monitor is however fixed, and if you use the tablet holder above it, your view of the monitor might be partially blocked.

Despite these limitations, we found the basic display more than enough for keeping tabs on my stats mid-session.

Connectivity and App Compatibility

For a bike in this price range we weren't expecting Bluetooth connectivity but this is one of the best features of the IC400 Pro.

This enables you to pair the bike with the iConsole app and even Zwift or Peloton through the QZ app.

If we’re talking about iConsole, after connecting the bike’s Bluetooth, open the iConsole app to view your stats on a larger screen.

The app occasionally disconnects, but it’s generally effective in displaying real-time metrics.

You can also connect the Zwift and Peloton Apps, although not directly, as you’ll need the QZ app. With the QZ app, you can stream your stats to Zwift or Peloton.

We used two devices to set up this configuration and got real-time tracking of RPM, speed, wattage, and heart rate.

Although the bike doesn’t auto-adjust resistance in sync with Zwift’s terrains, it provides a solid interactive workout nonetheless.

Adjustability

Adjustability is key to comfort as far as we are concerned, and the IC400 Pro performs quite well on this front.

Both the seat and handlebars are adjustable horizontally and vertically, accommodating users from 5’2” to 6’5”, which means that small and large people alike can easily use it.

The Seat

The included gel seat cover is a great touch for short rides, because it really softens things up, but it wasn’t really comfortable for extended rides. This is because it tends to slip out of place, not because it’s not soft enough.

For this reason, we invested in a separate seat cover, which improved the comfort quite a lot.

If you’re considering longer sessions, you may want to look into padded cycling shorts or an upgraded seat as well.

Handlebars

What we also appreciate is that the handlebars are covered with a dipped, non-slip material, which provide a solid grip.

At first, the handlebars felt a bit loose, but we tightened them much better and the issue went away.

We also found that adjusting the handlebars to a more forward-leaning position made things more comfortable while also adding more intensity.

Additional Features

The IC400 Pro includes two bottle holders, which is great if you’re planning on long-distance workouts.

We also found the tablet holder useful for following along with workout videos, though it could be more secure, especially for larger tablets. The tablet holder does also tend to get in the way at times.

Rounding Up

The JLL IC400 Pro Indoor Cycling Bike is an affordable option that is high-quality and stable, all in spite of its low price, making it ideal for anyone wanting a great indoor cycling experience without breaking the bank.

Built around a strong steel frame and a heavy 22 kg flywheel, it feels solid and smooth.

The magnetic resistance system is quiet and consistent, with its adjustable seat and handlebars accommodating different heights with ease.

Assembly can be a bit of a challenge due to its weight, but once set up, the bike is easy to maneuver thanks to its transport wheels.
